Suggested daily feeding
Feed up to one pouch per day for an average size adult cat.
Fancy Feast Broths are intended for supplemental feeding only. This product may be fed daily along with a complete and balanced cat food diet.
A delicious, silky broth with tender morsels of real tuna, shrimp and whitefish, crafted without by-products or fillers.
I bought this for my 15 year old cat who's always been a picky eater. He usually licks the canned food juices and walks away. But with these pouches he has lots of broth to lick and he finishes the food as well. It's a win here! The food in the pouch is very eye appealing.
I have bought different flavors for my sweet Kiki and this is the only one she will eat. Everyday around 6 p.m. she roams into the dinning room and lays by her food bowl waiting for her dinner. She has dry food out all day and night but she knows when she gets her special food.
My cat loves all the broths and I try to spoil her with one every now and then. She recognizes the pouches and gets so excited when she sees me grab one. After I pour the broth out in her bowl, I put a little water in the pouch to get the remainder of the broth mixture out. She cleans her bowl every time. And I can tell she's grateful and gives me more love when she's finished eating. Big Lots sometimes has these for 52 cents, so I stock up when I can!
My cat Charcoal really enjoyed the pieces of real meat in the broth. It was as if he was fishing for his food. He normally does not like any food that is not pate. Even some pate chunks he will not eat. So this was good news he liked this dish. He licked the bowl clean.
My Kitty LOVES this! She sits at the table in the morning waiting in her place for Mom to serve her her special treat for breakfast. Licks up Every Bite, and if some goes out over the edge of the bowl, she cleans that up too! Thank you so much for a great product line!!
My cat's a little older, just turned 22 this year, and needs a bit of extra moisture in her dry food. She especially loves this mix, but we've tried them all, and each one goes over just fine. They're perfect for making her dry food a bit easier for her to eat, and they smell good even to me! And you can see the shrimp! Real, shrimp shaped shrimps! When she catches a whiff of this, she's all over it, and will eat everything the broth has soaked into. Sometimes she's a bit more finicky, and only eats the meats off the top, but eh, you can't win 'em all. Cats are notorious for not getting enough moisture, and this is a perfect addition to give 'em a bit of extra water, and some decent quality protein, too!
My cats devoured this food like I was taking it away. I put it in their cat bowl and they immediately ate it and nothing was left! I did not smell bad when I took it out of the package either which most cat food does too.
The Broth Product Line is absolutely great. All my cats love it, especially Henry. I buy it because they eat it all. But I hate the packaging. I lose 10% of the filling unless I cut it open with a scissors and then scrape the remaining portion out of the foil package. This is most annoying and messy. The product gets 5 stars, the packaging gets 1 star.
Tigger Too has issues and has to eat a new special dry food, but we are allowed to spike it just a little. I tried all kinds of things including real tuna - no dice. This was just what we needed! We use a little bit twice a day and Tigger Too gets ALL his special food done and down. Thank you from Tigger Too (and his Mom!).
I bought 20 of these Fancy Feast Broths for my 8 cats at Petsmart several month in a row. And they loved it! Sometimes I will go through 5 to 8 pouches per feeding time, because it only comes in very small portion. The quality is excellent, but they're very pricey ($1.29 x 20 = $25.80+Tax= $28.12)!!! I have stop buying more due to the high costs which I cannot afford as daily kitty food.
Hi, I picked up the free sample at the local health food store. I had a hard time opening the package and getting all the contents out. Much easier if it were in a can. My cat loved it. I looked for a calorie count on the label but there is none. That would be helpful to owners watching their cat's calorie count. Can't rate the value as sample was free & I have no idea what it costs.
My cat loved this. The minute the free sample arrived, she had to check it out. She LOVED it. As I was unfamiliar with the product, I was surprised to see that it is a pure food. No additives, fillers etc. I have tried many of the different flavors and she loves all of them. The only drawback would be the packet. Although it is a nice tear open packet, the bottom fold retains a good amount of the food and at $1.20-$1.30 a package, you want to get it all which requires cutting it open, handling it and winding up with your hands smelling like fish.
All my cats consider Broths to be a special treat, all 7 of them. But they are exceptionally valuable to our 18 year old cat with lymphoma. He is extremely picky and we go to great extremes to find things he can eat and tolerate. Broths seem like they were made for him!
For some reason my cats, all three of them, have decided they no longer enjoy wet food. I've tried several Fancy Feast varieties, but they're just not interested. I don't think it's a reflection on Fancy Feast, as they won't eat other wet foods. It's exclusively dry food for us now.
I got a sample from your company on the broth products when they were first coming out. My cat is older, 14 years, and she doesn't always eat her dry food as well as she once did. She is really hard to give medication to also. I opened up the pouch of broth and saw real shrimp and flakes of fish along with some greens and a healthy portion of broth. I was able to put the medicine she needed in her broth and she ate it all up without knowing she took the pill and she loved every bite! I now keep some on hand so that she gets some daily as a treat and I know she will always take her medicine when needed. She also seems to have a healthier coat with more shine than before.
Now my 2 cats both enjoy Fancy Feast. My fat cat has always loved it in the can. But my skinny cat would only eat tuna from a pouch until now. She loves the taste of Fancy Feast tuna broth. I'm happy she gets to have a little more variety now.
My cat, Casey, who is very picky on what she eats, really loved this. She completed the whole serving. She also has a sensitive stomach and had no problem with this entree. I would recommend this cat food.
I have 3 cats, 12, 11, and 3 years old. They know immediately they are getting a special food treat when they hear me tear open that package of broth. They circle my feet like sharks and howl for the food while I prepare each one their own bowl. It's a treat for them, so I split a package between the 3 of them. They eat all of it, including licking the bowls clean. I always add water to their canned food to make it creamier and get them some extra fluids, but with the broths I don't have to. They're already creamy. In all, I would recommend these broths to anyone. My cats give it 12 paws up!
If nothing else, Fancy Feast has the best name and descriptions! I was so intrigued by the broth formulas in the pouches. It certainly did seem decadent and silky. My cats are not picky eaters so I am not sure that they prefer this over another food. What I noticed is that it really is brothy--there is very little chunks inside and they tend to stick to the inside of the pouch. So, the pouch method doesn't save me front having to use a utensil to scrape.
Our cats LOVE this food. We do too. However, note that these are NOT to be served exclusively without other food (package states "use to compliment other food only."). That said, these are awesome. We learned the hard way that most cats don't drink nearly enough water, which often leads to kidney disease later in life. We had two elderly cats with kidney disease and it was awful. We learned too late that it's best for the cats to have plenty of wet food, and to even add a little water to the wet foods to get them to consume more fluids. Our cats love these, and although the pouches can be a bit hard to easily get all the food out, we quickly learned to swish a teaspoon or two of water in the pouches to get any lingering food and just dump this right on top of the broth in the cat's bowl. Cats don't notice the difference and they get some extra water - vet approved! Don't know what we'd feed our cats if this product ever went away as our cats will pretty much only eat this now along with their dry food. They now turn their nose up at all other wet food (even the most expensive holistic ones!)
So sorry to hear you had this experience with our Fancy Feast. Please give our team a call at 800-877-7551 and reference case number 19495173 so we can learn more about it and help you out. Hope to hear from you soon.
Right now I have one cat of my own, but we feed several Feral cats. I have been purchasing Purina cat food for over 35 years. I really like the smaller cans & foil packs for my one cat. I was quite surprised she took to the fish flavors. She really likes lapping up the broth. I feed my cat both can & dry food. I feed the outside cats dry food. Purina is always there for me & my Critters.
Thank you.....I received the Broth sample pouch in the mail...was eager to try it on our 3 cats but disappointed in the lack of content in the pouch. Our cats liked it but not thrilled....they did enjoy the few chunks of seafood that were floating around. This might be ok to use as a "treat" once in a while but not often....don't think it's worth the $$. Our cats only eat Fancy Feast classic seafood, that is suitable for diabetic cats, as 1 of our cats is a Cardiac/Diabetic/Thyroid cat, so all 3 eat the same & the carbs are lower. We are long-time Purina users for our dogs & cats.
Sorry to hear that you had a disappointing experience with our Broths. Could you please give our team a call at 800-877-7551 so we can learn more and help you out? When you call, please reference case number 19472822. Hope to hear from you soon!
The broths were on sale at my local supermarket so I bought a few for my cats. I honestly didn't think they would enjoy them since there are larger pieces and they usually only like the pureed "classic" Friskies. Was I surprised. My cats reacted like it was caviar! One cat (the pickiest of the two) cries continuously until she gets some Broth - and then she finishes up whatever scraps her sister leaves behind.
I am a picky cat, my owner has tried many foods and treats. But when I tasted that broth I loved it!There was only one shrimp and a small piece of whitefish BUT that did not bother me !
My 3 cats love the bowl but because the price and amount I only give to Merci , The others eat dry and wet food . MERCI love Fancy feast BOWL. She love it , I spoil her because she is old and she deserve to be spoil the others are spoil to. we have to change the food almost 1 a month. they love the wet Seafood. we have to change every month, So sometimes we have to buy the same because they already eat what I found in the store.
I was skeptical when I first saw broth for cats. I will admit. I wasn't sure how it would go over, what it would look like, or even smell like. Most importantly I was concerned on the reaction from my 2 cats who tend to be a little picky when it comes to the soft foods. I will start by saying I was very happy to see it came in a pouch. No more messy cans that always pop liquids everywhere. My first reaction was okay this smells pretty good and then I dumoed it out. I swear it looked like real human edible seafood. None of the smashed together stuff that your can't decipher. I sat down their dishes and called them over and they smelled it for a minute and then began eating happily. There was not a single drop or piece of food left on the plates. That speaks for itself. I am beyond pleased with the quality and while I always trust fancy feast for my cats treats this will be a welcome addition to the shopping list!
Elmo the cat is a grammarian and asked me to tell you that you should say cats if you want to use "their" later in the sentence. As far as the pouch is concerned, he LOVES the broth, but leaves the solids. This happens with your gravy soft foods as well, He asked that you please make an all broth or gravy product.
My name is Banzai, and if I don't get my Broths at 12 noon sharp, I use my big boy Siamese voice to express my displeasure. I spend a lot of time trying to grow opposable thumbs so that I can break into the cabinet where the Broths are kept. A day without Broths is not worth living. My lady sez the Broths are chock full of great ingredients and look like something served in a fancy restaurant. I'm a little worried that she might start keeping the Broths for herself. Broths are the best cat food ever invented.
I received a sample a few weeks back and fed it as a treat. My older queen loved it. She gobbled it down. Love the packaging, had no problems opening or serving in her bowl. It is a bit on the pricey side so I can't feed daily (wish I could) but will give as a treat a couple of times a week. She usually licks up the juice from her regular canned and leaves the rest. She completely cleans the bowl when it's Broths. It makes me feel good to serve it to her as it looks good and she loves it. Just wish you would lower the price a bit so I could buy it for her more often.
My cat loves the Broth products. I show her the packet and she sits down near her dish and waits patiently. At first she didn't like creamy broth and wouldn't touch it. then she finally tasted it. It is her favorite treat. She makes it last....first she licks up the broth then eats the food.
I feed about a dozen neighborhood cats and one in particular is my "favorite". I occasionally give him a packet of the clear broth with any type of seafood. He loves it, especially the broth. He usually licks that up first. He knows where I keep it and will sit there looking for his special treat. It smells good enough for even me to eat. I would love to give it to all the cats, but, it is a little pricey.
Since our cat Freedom has been served Broths With Tuna, Shrimp and Whitefish he will not accept any other 'treat'! There is actually a couple of very small shrimp in with the broth and other nice cuts of tuna and fish. I agree with, JbhFla : "and the package is poorly designed, you have to scrape the solids out of the bottom pleats with a spoon. At that price you do not want to leave any behind, but we will continue to buy it for our cat to eat a couple days a week." Freedom enjoys it a couple days a week. Wish I could get a hold of coupons for this product.
Our cat loves Broths, and it looks good enough to serve over pasta. It is very expensive, over $15 per pound; and the package is poorly designed, you have to scrape the solids out of the bottom pleats with a spoon. At that price you do not want to leave any behind, but we will continue to buy it for our cat to eat a couple days a week.
My cats love all Fancy Feast products especially the Broths but when you have more than 2 it gets expensive because there is only enough for 1 in each pouch. Fortunately they have an awesome Aunt who sends them Broths & Appetizers for Xmas. They don't get these as often as they would like but always on their birthdays.
Usually my older girl licks the gravy from any can of Fancy Feast I put out for her and her younger "sister" and comes back later to eat the food portion left after the younger one eats. The first time I introduced a packet of FF broth she lapped up the broth and I saw her taking a lovely face wash as always after eating the gravy portion but as I passed by her plate I was so shocked to see the plate licked completely clean. I mean sparkling clean! WOW! I don't think my other cat ever got a chance to even taste that broth. I have to feed them separately now. My picky older cat has decided she now loves, loves, loves this particular food. Thanks for providing a fantastic product.
Only 2 of my cats like these. One won't eat any soft BUT these! But I can't get my others to like them, maybe it's because I spoiled them on the appetizers! Ferals love them, gotta give the uneaten to someone. I just hope they don't get spoiled! The broths look and smell great as cat food and I just don't understand why they don't want them. Overall, they are just too expensive to "try". I wouldn't recommend (or only buy 1).
I would not recommend the broth pouches. It is very hard to open them with out broth spraying everywhere and then it is hard to get all of the little bits out of the bottom. They need to come up with a better way to package this item. But my cat did eat it so the taste is fine.
Oh, wow! I've never seen cats get so fixated on a bowl of food :) This is truly a healthy, high quality product - I know that Inky and Sasha thank you for the wonderful, yummy experience. It was so nice to see them savor ever last lick!
My cat is very finicky when it comes to her food. She will only eat the Pate canned food, she will only eat canned food if it's fresh (so I have to refrigerate the un-opened portion), and she will only eat seafood flavors. As I said, she's very picky. Anyway, I thought I would buy the seafood flavor since that's what she likes. The first time I put it in front of her she was very unsure of it and ran off. Once I finally got her back to her plate she sniffed, and started eating it up. Now, she loves it every time I get it for her. That's her end-of-the-day meal and she seems to eat more of this compared to her other food. I don't have any complaints except I wish it were a little less expensive. But I suppose you can't argue with quality.
My cats are not big on wet food. They eat the liquid only. I put this out for them and they LOVED IT! They even ate the real seafood in it! I was shocked My only issue was the pouch it came in. All the meat was stuck in the bottom fold. I had to cut open the pouch and get my fingers all dirty to get everything out. Basicly, if these came in a better container I would buy these way more often for all my cats.
yes the broth package is a bit tricky opening , please make a bigger container bacause that is just a tease for my cats it is expensive without the coupon. Some of my cats at first didnt go near it but cats learn from each other so give it time they will all eat it soon. Mine do. They didnt get runny bowels either like some foods when you change their food. The Broth is a keeper!! Thank you .
I picked up a free sample while shopping to offer to my 12 year old male cat, who tends to be a finicky eater, something different. I was very pleased when he loved it. It's a nice change from being stared at after a sniff and a look of "what is this" upon placing his dish on the floor. It's ideal for those moments when something light is in order. I was happy to see there is a wide choice of broth products as Mr. Finicky
My kitty will not eat the food in a can she only eats sause,,But when I open a pouch of broths she attacks it,,I feed her one pack a day.along with saucesations, .. thanks to fancy feast she eats a liitle more I thank the people that work there for there help, they are really compassionate people...I don't know what i could of done without their help...
Quality of food excellent once you can get it out of pouch, one cat loved it one wouldnt go near it, pouch very difficult to open and when you tear top broth spllatters all over, stick with cans or some other type of packaging also coupon inside package of free sample difficult to open
Sorry you were disappointed. Please call us at 800-877-7551 and reference case number 19327085 so we can learn more. Thanks.
Sorry to hear your cats didn't enjoy our Broths. Please give us a call at 800-877-7551 and reference case number 19324467.
Could you make it any harder to get out of the pouch? Geez Louise!!! It's very expensive and then to lose 1/4 of the pouch because it's stuck in the crevices of the packaging is frustrating ! I only tried it because I have a blind cat who is still pretty feral .Worried about her getting enough to eat daily. She finds the bowl with these broths in it but good heavens, it's quite a process getting it all out of the bag without having it either spray all over my hands or just get stuck at the bottom (yes, I use a spoon to get all I can out) I cut coupons but still, it's quite expensive for what I get. I feed one other special needs cat Fancy Feast canned food about every other day. The blind girl doesn't seem to want it. Please make the packaging easier to use!!!! Greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your feedback about our Broths. Please call us at 800-877-7551 and reference case number 19324471.
I found a sample pack of Broths, Tuna, Shrimp and Whitefish in a large container of Tidy Cat. I have to say our cats love it, espcially our girl Abby, who always turned her nose up at canned or pouched cat food. It doesn't have that nasty wet food smell and I think the colors are appealing to cats. it looks like something we could order at a five star resturant and not food for cats. Bravo Fancy Feast for making these wonderful delicacies for cats and for making our Abby a lover of wet cat food. There will always be Fancy Feast Broths in the house for our girls Abby and Lola
We tried every flavor offered and my cat loved them. The packaging was messy and there is very little product inside. Honestly, the value isn't very good and for the price. A can of tuna is cheaper with more to offer my cat and what cat doesn't go crazy for tuna?
My child-cat Ginger only likes food she doesn't have to chew. Not to say she can't chew, since she does eat her dry food, but if it's wet food, it's got to be either pate or smooshed down on her plate. She likes the broths, but I wish you could make one with ONLY broth, since she often leaves the tuna and shrimp behind on the plate since she can't devour it without chewing. I know most cats would love that fish treat, but not Ginger. She would love more broth, please!!!
I received a broths packet in the mail. My 15 year old cat is a very selective eater usually eating a bite or two and walking away from canned food. When I gave her the broths she ate the entire package and looked up and cried for more. Something I never thought I would see. The packaging is very difficult. The amount of product for the price is very high. I have checked many pet stores and other retailers and have found $1.15 to $1.27 to be the price and there is not enough product to satisfy even a very small cat. I am feeding the broths regularly and have not found one my cat doesn't enjoy even though she would like a larger serving.
My cats definitely like the broth products. It's a treat for them every now and then plus they don't leave anything on the plate. They prefer one flavor in the dry food - Oceanfish and Salmon. Each cat likes a different flavor of the wet food. I have to keep rotating the flavors so they don't tire from it but all in all they like Fancy Feast products than other brands.
My three cats love all of the Fancy Feast products. They have several crunchy bowls with different crunches in the bowls available to them at all times. Purina One, Iams, 9 Lives, and Fancy Feast. The Fancy Feast always empties out first. They just love the cans as well, as they are fed one can a piece every day around 3:00. My cats are in and out door cats. I like for my cats to all be in at night time safe and sound. Thanks to all the wonderful Broths that my cats can't resist. They make sure that they come in around 10:00 every night to have their broth. What an easy way to get them inside. All I have to do is stick my head out the back door and say come on kitties , lets get some soup(which is what we call the broth); and they all come in running. You guys are so great for having such great products. Not just one product my cat likes; but you have several. Thank You So Much!!!
My Tripp loves every flavor of fancy feast broths. It's the only wet food he eats now I just wished it was easier to get the food out of the packet and there was more food inside because he is a big boy and 1 packet is just not enough for a meal.
